This intriguing premise sets up the action in this suspenseful addition to the Doll People series. Unwilling to part with her newfound sister, Annabelle runs away, taking her friend Tiffany Funcraft and Tilly May with her. This new member of the Doll Family, though, might put Dollkind in jeopardy. Mean Mimi tries to boss them around too, but Annabelle and Tiffany escape back into BJ's backpack. The dolls there are being terrorized by a doll named Princess Mimi (called by the toys Mean Mimi). The dolls are taken to BJ's house where they meet Waterfall, Melody, Yvonne, Penny, and Beth, the toys of BJ's sister. It turns out it is really the backpack of a different child, named BJ. There, they explore and eventually get into a backpack they think is Kate's.
